THE STORY

'A Vista From Port Antonio' is inspired by my Grandmothers ancestral home in Jamaica.

This nostalgic painting aims to highlight the beauty of my cultural heritage through an authentic and panormaic lens.

Despite the harmonious beauty of Jamaican nature, I also wanted to capture the fascinating textures of decaying wood to give a real sense of character to the piece. Painting the dwelling in rich detail was important in highlighting the beauty of its imperfections.
